Artwin Gallery is pleased to present the work of artists Anna Titova and Gulnur Mukazhanova at the annual Cosmoscow contemporary art fair. The fair will take place at Moscow Gostiny Dvor from 7 to 9 September 2018. For the fifth time, Moscow Artwin Gallery will be a participant in the fair.
At Cosmoscow 2018, Artwin Gallery will show for the first time Anna Titova's works created between 2012 and 2018. These include collages from the series Rituals of Resistance, sculptures Identikit, Seeds of Unrest, Closed Community and The Last Colony. There will also be a large work from Gulnur Mukazhanova's recent series "Postnomadic Reality."
Both artists, despite their different methods, share an interest in the construction of myth, identity and the role of women in contemporary society. They also share a critical approach to the ontology of the art object and social relations, through the integration of traditionally female craft and labour and the practice of conceptual art.
